Doris leads the Media & Entertainment industry group and has over 20 years of experience providing tax compliance and consulting services to clients in the sector. She addresses complex industry-related tax issues including film ownership, film basis amortization, deferred revenue, state tax credit monetization and treatment, state filing requirements, network advanced funding treatment, and participation tax treatment. Doris has extensive experience in partnership taxation and evaluates the tax complexities associated with waterfall arrangements and partnership income allocation. Doris’ experience also includes accounting for income taxes under ASC 740 and addressing complex tax considerations associated with corporate restructures, mergers and acquisitions. Before joining HCVT, Doris was with PwC’s Business Compliance Services practice. Doris holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Master of Business Taxation, both from the University of Southern California. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
