Sean has more than 15 years of experience providing audit and transaction advisory services to companies across a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, retail and distribution, professional services, technology, media and entertainment, and private equity-backed businesses. His background spans public accounting, investment management, and senior financial leadership roles in the private sector, allowing him to bring a practical, operator-focused perspective to client engagements.
Sean began his career at HCVT, serving clients on audits, reviews, and agreed-upon procedures. As a member of the firm's M&A Advisory Services group, he supported transactions through quality of earnings analyses, post-closing accounting support, purchase price adjustments, and debt and equity financing–related procedures.
His private sector experience includes senior finance roles such as alternative funds finance manager at Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO) and vice president of finance at a multi-entity digital marketing company, where he led financial reporting, internal controls, lender compliance, and M&A due diligence and integration.
Sean also served as co-founder and chief financial officer of FulfillmentX, LLC, a third-party logistics company that he helped launch, scale, and ultimately sell to a strategic buyer within 5.5 years. As chief financial officer, he led financial strategy, budgeting, reporting, systems implementation, and operational planning, contributing to the company’s growth to more than $50 million in revenue without outside capital.
Sean holds a Master of Science in Accountancy and a Master of Business Administration from San Diego State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of California, San Diego. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in California.
