John has over 20 years of public accounting experience. His experience encompasses audit and advisory services with a core focus on private businesses throughout Southern California. John’s industry experience is broad and includes a primary focus in the retail, distribution, manufacturing, and the professional services industry sectors. John also serves clients in the entertainment, hospitality and technology industries. John serves as the designated quality control partner for the firm’s audit practice group. In this role, John helps guide the development of the firm’s audit approach, methodology, and tools, all in accordance with professional standards. Working with audit practice leadership, John has developed HCVT’s audit approach tailored to the needs and auditing standard requirements for private companies.  Prior to joining HCVT, John held a financial management position for a publicly-traded educational services company.

John is a graduate California State University, Northridge and has a bachelor’s degree in accounting. John is a Certified Public Accountant in California.
