Haeun is a Principal in the firm's Audit Services and Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Advisory practices. With over 14 years of professional experience, he specializes in delivering audit and accounting advisory services as well as financial due diligence for M&A transactions. His dual focus in both assurance and advisory allows him to provide clients with an insightful approach that combines technical precision with practical business acumen.
Throughout his career, he has successfully served clients across a wide range of industries, including private equity & investment advisory, technology, media & entertainment, and manufacturing, retail & distribution among others.
Prior to joining HCVT, Haeun spent nearly a decade at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC). During his tenure at PwC, he served as a manager in both the Assurance (Financial Services) and Deals Advisory practices. Focusing primarily on large publicly traded companies, he built a deep technical foundation across the financial reporting lifecycle and complex transactions. His expertise spans leading audits, evaluating the SOX internal control environment, and delivering accounting advisory services - including complex technical accounting resolution and IPO readiness. He also advised corporate and private equity clients on financial due diligence, bridging technical US GAAP compliance with strategic M&A value drivers.
Haeun holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Southern California. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). He is fluent in both English and Korean.
