Overview

Andrew (Andy) has more than four decades of experience advising clients on estate, trust, and tax matters throughout his legal and consulting career. He practiced law at multiple leading Los Angeles firms, where he specialized in estate planning, probate, charitable planning, trust administration, and dispute resolution.

With a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach, Andy provides consulting services at HCVT, assisting high-net-worth individuals and families with estate planning, post-death administration of wills and trusts, beneficiary and trustee disputes, and charitable planning. He works closely with clients and their attorneys or other advisors to develop creative solutions to complex estate and trust issues, identify innovative approaches to resolving family disputes, and translate complex legal and tax recommendations into clear, actionable guidance.

Andy has taught Estate and Gift Tax for over three decades, serving as an adjunct professor at UCLA School of Law, USC Gould School of Law, USD School of Law, Golden Gate University, and currently at UC Irvine School of Law in the LL.M. (Master of Laws) program.

Andy earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Michigan Law School, a Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of San Diego, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Michigan. He is a member of the California State Bar and the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel.
