Overview

Sherif has over 20 years of experience in public accounting, providing tax consulting and compliance services to clients primarily in the real estate, manufacturing, retail and distribution, and private equity industry sectors. Sherif addresses complex partnership taxation issues. He serves real estate investors, developers, and operators across all asset classes including commercial, industrial, and residential. Sherif assists clients with tax issues such as partnership allocations and real estate asset acquisition and disposition, like-kind exchanges, passive activities net investment income tax and other complex transactions faced by private equity firms and real estate investors.

Sherif holds a Master of Business Taxation from the Golden Gate University and a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting and Finance from the Helwan University based in Cairo, Egypt. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Public Accountants. Prior to joining HCVT, Sherif worked at Arthur Anderson, Laser, Kim & CO, and SKMC. Sherif is fluent in Arabic and conversational in French.
