Jonathan is the firm’s Strategic Markets Leader, driving local market expansion initiatives for Advisory and Audit Services in Phoenix, AZ and Salt Lake City, UT. He previously assisted with the successful expansion of the firm’s advisory and audit presence in Irvine, CA, leveraging a client-focused approach, practicality, and hard work to fuel growth.
As a principal in the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Advisory Services and Audit Services practices, Jonathan brings over 17 years of experience in M&A and audits. Known for his practical approach and ability to simplify complex issues, he has advised companies in all stages of the business cycle – from start-up and rapid/acquisitive growth to mature operations, pre-acquisition preparation, exits or other liquidity events, and post-acquisition integration and reporting for both buyers and sellers.
Jonathan’s expertise spans a wide range of industries, including manufacturing, retail, distribution, technology, media & entertainment, and healthcare & life sciences. He specializes in buy-side and sell-side financial due diligence, quality of earnings and net working capital analyses, post-closing purchase price adjustments and disputes, and financial statement audits and reviews.
Jonathan received his Bachelor’s degree in Economics from UCLA. In addition to his public accounting career, he served as a Controller for a middle-market aerospace and defense metals distributor, and taught as an adjunct faculty member at Pepperdine University and a local community college. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA), and the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG).
