Overview

Rommie has over 16 years of experience serving international and domestic clients across several industries. She primarily provides tax planning and compliance to clients in the private equity industry sector. Rommie's compliance work includes federal and state corporate tax returns, as well as tax returns for US partnerships. She assists in consulting clients on income tax accounting matters related to transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, internal restructurings, spin-offs, divestitures, and resolving financial statement matters. She also assists clients on projects related to tax account remediation and restatements, implementation of SOX control, and tax process improvement. Rommie specializes in ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxes, which includes preparation of global income tax and balance sheets, FIN48 studies, and business combinations, and assisting with the audit of the tax provision. She has served large multi-national clients by preparing and assisting them with their tax provision audits.

Before joining HCVT, Rommie was a member of EY's National Tax Accounting and Advisory group. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas. Rommie received her Master of Accountancy from the University of Houston, her Master of Computational Biochemistry from the University of Delaware, and her bachelor's degree in Biopharmaceutics Engineering from the South China University of Technology.
