Overview

Daniel is a member of the firm’s Private Equity and Investment Management practice and provides tax consulting and compliance services to large global private equity and investment management organizations. Daniel is highly experienced in the tax structuring of private equity, real estate, and debt investments for private funds, funds of one, and joint ventures. He is also familiar with the tax needs of U.S. taxable, tax-exempt, and non-U.S. institutional investors. He addresses complex tax matters associated with fund formation, operations, restructuring, and fund dissolution.

Prior to joining HCVT, Daniel was Tax Counsel at MetLife. While at MetLife, his responsibilities included advising on the tax aspects of MetLife’s general account investments, particularly real estate, debt, and private fund investments. Daniel began his career as an associate in the tax practice of the global law firm Ropes & Gray LLP.
