Joseph has over 25 years of experience providing tax consulting and compliance services to clients in the private equity, entertainment, manufacturing, retail, and distribution industry sectors. He advises private equity and investment advisory firm on the tax implications of complex transactions, including fund formation, asset acquisitions and divestitures. Joseph works extensively with fund management entities and sponsor organizations, helping clients navigate sophisticated tax structures and operational considerations.
Joseph is the founding partner of HCVT’s Asia Pacific Practice and plays a key role in coordinating cross-border services for clients operating between the United States and the Asia-Pacific region. As a liaison to Moore Global member firms throughout APAC, he works closely with local advisors to help international clients manage both sides of cross-border tax and compliance matters. His work often involves assisting foreign investors with the U.S. tax reporting and compliance requirements associated with inbound investments, while collaborating with advisors in their home jurisdictions to provide coordinated global support.
Joseph has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Loyola Marymount University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. Joseph began his career in private industry overseeing the tax and internal audit functions for an international transportation company and was a tax director at PwC before joining HCVT.
