Nancy has over 24 years of public accounting and private equity industry experience, including extensive Big 4 accounting firm experience. Nancy serves clients in the private equity industry. She addresses complex taxation issues and works with participants in the full fund cycle including domestic and foreign funds, special purpose funds including parallel funds, alternative investment vehicles, and feeder funds. She has extensive experience in addressing complex taxation issues for sponsor entities including private equity management companies, general partner promote vehicles, and executive co-investment vehicles. Nancy provides consulting services to her clients on fund formation, structuring, asset growth, divestiture, and exit. She advises her clients on domestic and foreign reporting requirements and addresses waterfall calculations, partnership allocations, ASC 740 analysis for uncertain tax positions, as well as addressing complex international taxation issues such as PFIC and foreign blockers, among other taxation issues.

In addition to her extensive public accounting experience, Nancy has experience working in the private industry. She served as the tax director of a private equity firm where she gained in-depth knowledge of the operational, accounting and tax functions in this industry sector. This experience, coupled with her experience in public accounting, provides her with a balanced perspective when addressing the needs of her clients.

Nancy earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Loyola Marymount University and a master’s degree in taxation from Golden Gate University. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of California.
