Martin specializes in providing estate, trust, and gift income tax planning, consulting and compliance services to high net worth individuals, families, and their related entities. Martin works collaboratively with his clients’ investment advisors, and attorneys to provide an integrated approach to help the client achieve their wealth management goals. He is highly experienced working with a variety of wealth transfer structures including Family Limited Partnerships, Grantor Retained Annuity Trusts (GRATS), Qualified Personal Residence Trusts (QPRTS), Charitable Remainder Trusts (CRTS)’ Charitable Lead Trusts (CLTS), among others. Martin advises his clients on the tax issues associated with alternative investments, asset acquisitions, and sales, evaluation of generation-skipping tax transfer, business succession, among other areas. Martin has extensive experience representing clients in federal and state tax audits.
Martin provides trust and estate planning for international individuals and families and assists with the analysis of inbound and outbound business structures, PFIC analysis, FIRTA compliance, and assists with foreign disclosure requirements. 
Martin brings over 35 years of experience practicing in the tax field and joined HCVT in 2019 after serving as a tax director at a highly specialized law firm where he provided tax consulting and compliance services for high net worth individuals and family offices, and their related businesses.
