This Summer is flying by! Our interns are already halfway through their internship! Over the last month, our Fort Worth Interns have been exposed to a variety of work in regards to Private Equity. With the amount of tax work that needs to be done; Rochelle has been working with structure charts and HCVT’s Treehouse software to understand how income flows up through pass-through entities within a Partnership. Viviana, on the other hand, has been learning more about basis calculations for partners receiving K-1s. Her research opportunities have given her knowledge on the tax effects of negative basis and how it can affect a Partner’s K-1. Throughout this time, both interns have enjoyed how much mentorship and teaching is given to them and find their internship experience at HCVT to be a gratifying and fun learning experience!
