Susan provides tax, consulting and financial services for non-profit organizations, closely held companies, and tax and consulting for publicly held, multi-state and international companies. Currently Susan spends most of her time providing corporate tax and consulting services for large multi-state closely held companies and publicly held companies.
Before joining HCVT, Susan spent five years as a tax principal for a local firm specializing in bankruptcy taxation and planning. Her work in this area consisted of preference analysis, tax compliance for bankruptcy entities, IRS dispute resolution, tax services for Chapter 7 and 11 trustees, tax advisory services for workout management/assignee organizations. In addition, she was a tax manager in the small business department of Ernst & Young.
Susan received a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in taxation from California State University, Northridge. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. She serves as president of the technical advisory committee of the Ventura County Community Foundation and as a technical advisory/treasurer to the California Stars Soccer Club. She also serves as the first vice president for the California Society of CPAs Channel Counties Chapter Board of Directors.
