Santa Monica CPA Firm Ranked Top Firm in Southern California
Holthouse Carlin & Van Trigt LLP (HCVT), a full service CPA firm with offices in Santa Monica, Long Beach and Westlake Village, has been ranked as the top CPA firm headquartered in Southern California by Accounting Today, a national trade journal focused on the CPA industry. Accounting Today annually ranks the Top 100 firms in the country based on annual revenue.
HCVT’s calendar 2004 revenue resulted in a rise from 4th position in 2003 to the 1st place in Southern California for the most recent calendar year. HCVT also made a jump from the 92nd position nationally in 2003 to 85th place overall in 2004.
HCVT’s 27% growth rate in 2004 vaulted the firm to the 7th position in the West/Southwest region and the firm was ranked as one of the 20 fastest growing firms in the country during 2004.
According to Managing Partner, Philip Holthouse: “Given that HCVT was only established in late 1991, and we service clients in a highly competitive region, HCVT’s growth is phenomenal and a credit to our hard-working staff and loyal clients.”
HCVT has been able to maintain a solid year-to-year growth rate in excess of 20% since formation, without the need for mergers or acquisitions. Long Beach Partner, Blake Christian attributes HCVT’s growth to: “our ability to consistently deliver superior quality financial services, including a number of niche services, to a diverse client base, as well as our ability to attract and retain quality personnel.”
The majority of HCVT’s partners were previously either Partners or Senior Managers at “Big 4” International CPA firms. In addition to traditional auditing and tax work, HCVT has extensive experience providing specialized tax consulting, business management, Sarbanes-Oxley assistance, 401(k)/ Qualified Retirement Plan audits, Real Estate/ Affordable Housing Credit Audits and Location-Based Incentive Wage and Sales/ Use Tax studies to large and medium sized privately held and publicly traded companies.
