HCVT Partner Appointed to California Taxation Law Advisory Commission
Robin Paule, HCVT partner, has been appointed to the Taxation Law Advisory Commission of the State Bar of California by the Board of Governors. Her term will run from September 7, 2003 until October 8, 2006. There are eight advisory commissions that advise and assist the California Board of Legal Specialization in the administration of the certification program for eight specialties, including Taxation. Each advisory commission passes upon applications for certification and re-certification as a legal specialist; prepares specialist examinations; evaluates and accredits programs and providers of continuing legal education; and otherwise assists the Board of Legal Specialization in administering the program. Advisory commissions to the Legal Specialization Board are composed of nine members, appointed by the Board of Governors.
