Donna joined HCVT in 2005 after over 25 years of Big 4 public accounting experience to open the firm’s Orange County office. Donna provides tax consulting, compliance and structuring services to private equity firms, including sponsors, fund entities, management companies, general partner promote vehicles, co-investment vehicles, and portfolio companies. Her clients include some of the industry’s largest global private equity organizations. Donna advises her clients on the complex intricacies of fund structuring, acquisitions and divestiture of foreign and domestic assets.  Over her 35-year career, she has provided consultation in complex tax partnership transactions and allocations, including complex distribution waterfall arrangements, carried interest, operating agreements, tax planning for inbound investments and outbound tax considerations for various classes of private equity fund investors.

Donna began her career at KPMG and served as partner-in-charge of KPMG’s Orange County tax practice and national partner-in-charge of KPMG’s affordable housing tax practice. Donna is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants, including past membership on the Tax Subcommittee. Donna received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Arizona State University, where she graduated summa cum laude. Active in her community, Donna is a founding member of the Orange County United Way Women’s Philanthropy Fund, a Tocqueville Society member, and a strong supporter of Human Options.
