Curt joined the HCVT team three years ago and specializes in the area of international taxation for both private and public clients, focusing on a variety of international tax issues that affect primarily corporations and partnerships. He has developed an expertise in outbound and inbound international tax issues that affect real estate industry clients. He also has extensive experience in planning and structuring acquisitions and dispositions of real estate investments made by domestic and foreign investors. Curt is very knowledgeable in a variety of international tax planning and compliance issues, including foreign tax credits, subpart F and PFIC planning, tax treaty analysis and foreign currency calculations.
Prior to joining HCVT, Curt was with KPMG's international tax practice for more than seven years. While at KPMG, he served clients in a variety of industries including entertainment and media, investment, real estate, manufacturing and distribution.
Curt is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of California and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He earned a master's degree in taxation at the University of Washington and a bachelor's degree in accounting from Michigan State University.
