Holthouse Carlin & Van Trigt LLP (HCVT), a full service CPA firm with offices in Santa Monica, Westlake Village, Encino, Pasadena, Long Beach and Irvine has again been ranked as the top CPA firm headquartered in Southern California by Accounting Today, a national trade journal focused on the CPA industry. Accounting Today annually ranks the Top 100 CPA firms in the country based on annual revenue, growth rates and other factors.
HCVT’s calendar 2006 revenue increase of 50% from $31 million to $46 million, resulted in a dramatic 28 place jump to the 42nd largest CPA firm in the country from the 70th position last year.
HCVT’s addition of the Irvine and Encino offices during 2006, to accommodate their clients and employees, contributed to the 50% growth rate and also resulted in the firm being ranked as the third fastest growing CPA firm in the nation.
The firm was also ranked as the top CPA firm in the country in terms of tax specialization for firms with revenue between $25 million and $100 million.
According to Managing Partner, Philip Holthouse, “At only 15 years old, HCVT has achieved this national standing through the superior client service provided by our talented professionals. Their efforts have resulted in strong, consistent internal growth due to low client turnover, terrific referrals from existing clients/relationships, and growing/successful clients. We continue to attract bright, motivated professionals from colleges and other firms who deliver exceptional client service on a daily basis”.
HCVT has been able to maintain a solid year-to-year growth rate in excess of 25% since formation, without the need for mergers or acquisitions. Long Beach Partner, Blake Christian, sees HCVT’s growth continuing. “As the dominant Southern California CPA firm, HCVT is now viewed as a preferred service provider and employer by a growing number of businesses and employees. HCVT is a very attractive firm in terms of our resources, reputation and convenient locations throughout the Southern California region”.
The majority of HCVT’s partners were previously either Partners or Senior Managers at “Big 4” International CPA firms. In addition to traditional auditing and tax work, HCVT has extensive experience providing specialized tax consulting, business management, Merger & Acquisition, 401(k)/Qualified Retirement Plan audits, Real Estate/Affordable Housing Credit Audits, Location-Based Incentive Wage and Sales/Use Tax studies, and Research & Development credit studies to large and medium sized privately held and publicly traded companies.
HCVT is a full service CPA firm that was formed in 1991 and currently has 23 partners and a total professional and administrative supportive staff of over 230. HCVT’s clients include domestic and international real estate developers/managers, manufacturers, distributors, service entities, hi-tech and entertainment concerns and high net worth individuals.
