CPA Firm Celebrates 15 Years in Long Beach
The Long Beach office of Holthouse Carlin & Van Trigt LLP (HCVT), the largest CPA firm headquartered in Southern California is celebrating its 15 year anniversary in Long Beach.
HCVT was established in 1991 in West Los Angeles and today the firm has six Southern California offices, including Westlake Village, Long Beach, Pasadena, Irvine and Encino. The firm has 24 partners and a total headcount of over 250 employees.
The Long Beach office was opened in August 1993 in the Keesal, Young & Logan/Union Bank Tower at 400 Oceangate, and recently celebrated the office's 15th anniversary, as well as the 15th anniversaries of founding employees, Administrative Assistant, Charie Baker and Tax Partner, Blake Christian. Blake gives Charie high marks for her two decades of HCVT service: "Charie was the second employee to join when we announced the opening of the Long Beach office. I also worked with Charie for over three years at KPMG; therefore, her dedicated service and contributions to the firm have been critical to our growth and quality control."
HCVT opened their original office in the 400 Oceangate building. "We have had an excellent relationship with Skip Keesal, Bob Stemler and the other KYL partners for over two decades, so it was a natural to start our Long Beach office in their building", according to Blake. "HCVT is very proud of our long-term relationship with Long Beach, which has been very symbiotic. We have seen very significant positive changes within both the business community and the general community as a whole during our time here. The current low-tax structure in Long Beach from: a state income tax (thanks to the valuable state Enterprise Zone program), property tax and city license tax perspective add to the attractiveness of Long Beach.
